Four-track recording for music, dialogue and location sound

The Zoom M4 MicTrak combines built-in stereo X/Y microphones, two XLR/TRS inputs and 32-bit float recording in a portable handheld recorder. Capture the atmosphere of a live room while recording two external microphones, or record dialogue and ambience together for your next video project.

Focus on the performance, not gain settings

Dual A/D converter circuits and 32-bit float recording remove the need to set input gain. The built-in X/Y microphones capture a detailed stereo image, while the two XLR/TRS combo inputs feature low-noise preamps from Zoom's F-Series and selectable +24 V or +48 V phantom power.

Keep picture and sound in sync

A built-in timecode generator with ±0.2 ppm accuracy and a dedicated 3.5 mm timecode input/output helps synchronise recordings with video. Send a backup or sync track to your camera through the stereo line output, and monitor your audio through the separate headphone output.

• USB compatibility with PC, Mac, iOS and Android; Android USB microphone use does not support 32-bit float.
• Supports microSDHC cards from 4 GB to 32 GB and microSDXC cards from 64 GB to 1 TB.
• Powered by four AA batteries, USB bus power or the optional Zoom AD-17 AC adapter.
• Up to approximately 18 hours of operation with alkaline batteries at 48 kHz/32-bit float in two-channel recording conditions. Actual runtime varies with use.
• Optional Zoom RC4 remote control available separately.
