James Swanepoel is a good friend of Guitar Gallery. James is blind and a full time musician (James & Andre). We have selected 6 of our favourite dreadnoughts (Rosewood models) and asked James to review them without knowing what he was playing on.
All the guitars were fitted with D'Addario EJ17 (PB) guitar strings for the recording of this video. The recording gear includes AKG C451B (Pair), Focusrite Clarett 8Pre USB, Logic Pro X and no effects were applied. The dreadnoughts include: Martin D-28 Reimagined, Collings D2HG Brazilian, Martin D-41 Reimagined, Santa Cruz DPW Custom, Larrivee D-40R, Collings D2HA.
